Wellness Equipment Lombok: New Resorts, Surf Camps & the Gilis
Lombok is what Bali's coastline looked like fifteen years ago, with one enormous accelerant Bali never had: Mandalika. Since the MotoGP circuit opened at Kuta Mandalika, the south coast has been a rolling construction site of resorts, surf camps, and villa projects; Senggigi's older strip is refurbishing to keep up; and the Gili islands' boutique resorts keep quietly upgrading for a crowd that expects more than a hammock. For our supply desk, Lombok has gone from an occasional ferry booking to a scheduled route — because every one of those openings buys equipment new, and most of them call while the concrete is still curing.
Who is buying in Lombok
Pre-opening resorts are the biggest tickets: wellness rooms designed into the plans rather than retrofitted, ordered in USD by international operators, delivered against a soft-opening date. Surf and kite camps along the south coast are the steadiest: guests book two- and three-week coached packages, and arrival-versus-departure testing has become part of what they are paying for. Gili resorts buy compact — everything arrives by boat, so size and durability drive the shortlist. And Kuta Lombok now has its first recovery studios, serving the surf crowd the way Canggu's studios served theirs five years earlier. Volumes are still smaller than Bali's, but Lombok buyers share one trait we like: nobody is replacing anything. It is all first purchases, specified fresh.
What sells best in Lombok
The Fit3D ProScanner is the resort-gym anchor — a 40-second scan guests actually enjoy, sturdy enough for humid coastal fitness rooms. The PNOE metabolic analyzer (~$24,000 landed) gives surf and kite camps genuine VO2 and performance testing in a case one instructor can manage. And Firstbeat Life covers multi-day HRV recovery tracking on per-guest licenses — ideal for retreat programs, and nothing heavy to ferry across. The wider list is in our metabolic testing and 3D scanning categories. These figures are indicative landed estimates — the final price is confirmed by a supply manager and moves with the exchange rate, the freight method and the delivery route.

Delivery across the strait: how it actually works
Standard route: from our Denpasar warehouse via the Padangbai–Lembar ferry, 2-4 days door to door, with our crew traveling alongside bigger installs. Compact units can fly into Lombok International when a date is tight. The Gilis add a final leg by boat — we crate against salt spray and plan the jetty handover, because there are no cars on those islands and a 3D scanner does not enjoy a horse cart. Two Lombok-specific standards on every install: voltage stabilizers, since grid dips are a fact of life outside the main towns, and batched service trips, scheduled so several sites share the travel cost. Pre-opening projects should order imported equipment 10-12 weeks ahead; ex-stock from Bali needs only days.
For market context across the strait, see our Bali overview and the Denpasar warehouse page; heavy consolidated freight sometimes stages through Surabaya instead. Lombok is the rare market where being early still counts — the operators installing real wellness infrastructure now will own the comparison sites for the next decade.

Frequently asked questions
How does delivery to Lombok and the Gili islands work?
Equipment travels from our Denpasar warehouse via the Padangbai–Lembar ferry, 2-4 days door to door, with installation on arrival. For the Gilis we add a boat leg — crated against salt spray, handed over at the jetty, and carried to site. Compact units can fly into Lombok International instead.
Can diagnostic equipment handle Lombok's power grid?
Yes, with preparation we treat as standard: every Lombok install includes a voltage stabilizer, and for remote south-coast and Gili sites we advise on backup power sizing. Grid dips are routine outside the main towns, and unprotected electronics pay for that eventually.
When should a pre-opening resort in Lombok order equipment?
Order imported units 10-12 weeks before soft opening to cover shipping, customs, the ferry crossing, installation, and staff training. Equipment held ex-stock in our Bali warehouse needs only days, so we usually split orders: long-lead items early, stock items just before opening.
